The yellow backboard is in homage to the original opening title sequence, the original title of the show was superimposed on a yellow background. It took some work getting the effect I wanted, but in the end each piece was created independently, painted, and then mounted in the farm. Autobot and Deception symbols, weathered and damaged as if they came straight from the battlefield. So that’s what I designed and put together for the show. What really got me was the idea that someone would appropriate them and then display the pieces, almost like trophies, evidence tags and all.
